FINALLY Spring! It was a LONG winter here, and many other places. Just so glad it's over for now. Have enjoyed a couple of pre-season visits, and looking forward to more arrivals in May. Biggest event this summer will be major stream bank restora
Don't let the season be over yet! Last weekend's visitors had a fine time in the river, kayaking and trying out the stand up board. The weather couldn't be better, and everything is still green. If only sweet pup, Zoey hadn't eaten the compost.
Mid June '13 River Report- I don't remember a June so wet- Terrible for haymaking, but absolutely great for a day on the river. Quite a group put in here Sun. afternoon and had an easy breezy paddle down to Bracey's landing. Watched a bald eagle
2020- sounds like June 7 years ago was wet? Well, this one has been SOAKING! No blush on the tomatoes yet, and weeds and brush growing like crazy everywhere. Yet Bath County being the last county in the state with no cases of Covid '19 might add a little to our popularity? Not the way we had hoped to boost local tourism! It's going to be a different kind of year, and will reflect on it more once we catch up on more of the mowing, maybe in September. Love to all, and stay well.
