During the Summer of 2014, a long overdue stream bank restoration project got started here on the farm.
The USFWS, Fish America Foundation, and Trimble Construction were the remarkable team that made it happen.
Here are some of the pictures while it was underway, but best of all come visit, and see for yourself. What was a bare, sheer bluff is a gently sloping bench covered with seedlings.
There have been quite a few HIGH water events since 2014, even more into 2019, and the benches have remained stable. Many of the seedlings didn't make it, but we'll be trying again with willow cuttings this spring.
And the fish really like it too!
